The Power of Coaching

Recently a friend and I teamed up to ‘coach’ each other. It was an informal process where we would send a text message each week with an update on our goal, including what specifically we needed to stop, start or change to continue to take a step towards achieving our goals.

What a powerful process, it has kept me on track and accountable to each action shared. We both focused on the positives even when we strayed off track. It has helped embed the learning to enjoy the process or journey to my end goal, especially when it’s a big one and might take a little bit of time to nail it. I love helping my coaching clients achieve their goals and push further, its nice to be on the receiving end too!

I am proud to say that I am half way to my goal, I have thoroughly enjoyed the process and haven’t even felt the pressure or strain of taking the steps to achieve it. We have made it positive and fun. Do you have someone that you can share your goal with and have regular check in's to help you stay on track?
